Dr. Katie LaViolette, DPM, FACFAS

Biography

Katie LaViolette, DPM, FACFAS is a double board-certified foot and ankle surgeon, via the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, who practices on the Southwest side of Chicago as well as works for foot and ankle advanced imaging interpretation in Wisconsin.

Dr. LaViolette was part of the first podiatric residency class at Advocate Christ Medical Center, a Trauma 1 medical center and award-winning educational institution, where she received extensive medical and surgical training for numerous orthopedic and podiatric conditions. She was vital in starting Advocate Christ Medical Center’s podiatric residency program where she held the title of Chief Resident. Following residency, she completed a fellowship through the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine as well as fostered her longstanding academic interest in radiology, also completing a fellowship in Foot and Ankle MRI interpretation. Dr. LaViolette has published numerous research articles on various foot and ankle conditions and treatment modalities. She continues to be actively involved in working with residents and students at her former residency program and volunteers for various athletic events, including the Chicago Marathon.

In her spare time, Dr. LaViolette enjoys travel, running, reading, gardening, weight training, boating, and spending time with her husband, sons, and Great Dane.Dr. Hatfield is Triple Board Certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Radiology, Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Neuroradiology, American Board of Radiology, Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology with 50 publications, book chapters and presentations in peer review medical literature and national meetings. Dr. Hatfield has over 20 years of experience working in southeast Wisconsin.Dr. Hatfield was inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (ACR) in 2013. One of the highest honors the ACR can bestow on a radiologist is recognition as a fellow of the American College of Radiology. ACR Fellows demonstrate a history of service to the College, organized radiology, teaching, and research. Approximately 12% of ACR members achieve this distinction.
